The 2008 VUE is a quick SUV, fun to drive and available in 4
trims, ranging from the FWD 4 to the AWD V6. The 2008 VUE's closest
competitors include the Buick Rendezvous, the Land Rover Freelander, and
the Toyota RAV4. Upon introduction, the FWD 4 is equipped with a standard
2.2-liter, I4, 143-horsepower engine that achieves 23-mpg in the city and
28-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is
standard, and a variable speed automatic transmission with overdrive is
optional. The AWD V6 is equipped with a standard 3.0-liter, V6,
181-horsepower engine that achieves 19-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the
